A Call To Prayer

Patty Farmer, My Mother-In-Law

My mother-in-law, Patty Farmer(shown in picture holding baby) was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer about two months ago. She went in for surgery last Thursday, and suddenly took a turn for the worse, this afternoon. That is all I know. My wife called me from work to tell me an hour ago. I could hear the fear in her voice. It really bothered me. I turned to prayer, and immediately thought of my blog community here. It has been awhile since I have been around these parts, posting or otherwise. I didn’t hesitate in the least.

Join me in prayer for my family, and most importantly, my mother-in-law, Patty.

Led Zeppelin rocked the O2 Arena in London last night, their first live performance in almost thirty years. The three surviving members, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones were accompanied by Jason Bonham; son of the late John Bonham.

Rumors of a world tour have been circling around since the announcement of this reunion concert. What had originally been said by the band was this. When we play, we like what we hear, we’ll continue. Meaning if their is enjoyment amoungst themselves, along with fan appreciation, they will honor that by continuing. The reviews from the press in attendance are glowing.

I, for one, am hoping that they enjoyed themselves, and am also looking forward to this live release. To hear another live version of the most played song of all time recorded thirty years later, will be worth the wait.

The Picture Behind The Quote

Born in Roccasecca, Italy and died at the monastery in Sonnino, Italy, of mysterious causes. He was cannonized by Pope John XXII in 1323. He has been ranked with the likes of Ambrose, Augustine, Jerome, and Gregory. Along with Augustine, St. Thomas Aquinas has had the greatest influence on the Western Church. His basic theological position was that there are two sources of knowledge: the mysteries of the Christian faith and the truths of human reason.
